Proper Context

WORK CASE 5
AGENCY: Freelance
ROLE: Designer, Creative Direction, Web Designer, Web Developer

Translating and elevating a mission to contextualize culture to educate tomorrows leaders

When I was asked to help give Proper Context the “proper” visual treatment, I was thrilled. At its core this project spoke to me as a man on a mission to help use what I know as a creative to inspire more creatives who look like me and give them the tools for success. With any project we started with crafting a logo, but in this case I wanted to flex and wanted the logo to do the same.

So this system was built around a logo that was fluid and could adapt to any scenario it was put in. What you see above is the “base,” but we wanted to expand the visuals to fit into whatever “context.”

(Sorry I couldn’t help myself)

Constructing a site for editorial content that keeps engagement and retention as the top priority

The central component of this brief was to design and develop a site that could house the editorial content for the brand. We made choices surrounding ways we could keep the intended audience engaged and once we had that allow them to seamlessly get to one piece of content to the next.

It drove the overall design philosophy of keeping them in the content. Go from one piece to the next as you see fit without jumping back to the central menu.
